Hey everybody.

Halloween is coming soon and I am so excited.  We will go to a special place and get lots of candy. 
What we love is to make lots of cupcakes and decorate them.  Then we have lots of fun eating them. 

I like a lot of things about Halloween.   Like picking out my costume and trick or treating with my friends. 

And I love all the fun decorations and projects I get to make in school.  We made mummies, pumpkins, ghosts, and spiders. 

But I am also really excited about having fun with my family going to see everyone's costumes and sharing good food.

One of my favorite books is Darby's First Christmas in Bisclona.  It was written by Scott Alexander Baker. 
I love Darby who is a Golden Retriever.  I have a Golden Retriever too.  And it has my favorite character from the books, Mary the innkeeper. 
Mary can turn into a fox and help Darby chase away Crow's, Garden Gnomes, and Bissybats. 
Oh, Bissy bats are big furry bat badger creatures that live in a termite mound above the Garden Gnomes. 
They live in the gardens at the Nightshade Inn, Mary's home. 

I love the fairies in the books.  But in this book, what I really love is that all the creatures and people of the Sturdy Woods stop fighting and playing mean tricks on eachother to celebrate Christmas in Peace. 
Except for the greedy crows that is!


I really love this book.  And I think other kids like me would love it too.

The first book in the series was Darby and the Dew Berry Fairies.  I loved that one too.  It had all kinds of great stuff, like carrot Fairies, Dew Berry Fairies, and of course Darby. 
The human kids Skye and Alexander are funny too.  They get a long like my brother and I do in real life.  So they are really funny. 

We bought our books at Amazon.com but my friend also bought their books at Books a Million.  And my grandma even has Darby's Christmas on the Kindle.  All the pretty pictures look really good on the touch screen.  But I really like the kindle because it has angry birds.
